About the Novel

Grace is a brilliant and compassionate doctor, but she is also deeply traumatized by the war. She has nightmares about her husband's death, and she is unable to connect with other people. She feels lost and alone, and she is desperate to find a way to heal.
One day, Grace meets a young boy named David who has been injured in a car accident. David is a gifted artist, and Grace is drawn to his spirit. She begins to spend time with David, and she slowly begins to heal.
Through her relationship with David, Grace learns to accept her grief and to find new meaning in her life. She realizes that she is not alone, and that there is still beauty and hope in the world.
