My Spirit of Tasmania is the only ferry service that connects the mainland of Australia to the beautiful island state of Tasmania. We operate two modern vessels, the Spirit of Tasmania I and Spirit of Tasmania II, which offer a range of cabin types, restaurants, bars, and shops.

Our journey takes you on a spectacular voyage across the Bass Strait, offering stunning views of the ocean and coastline. You'll have the opportunity to spot dolphins, whales, and other marine life along the way.

  • Day trip: A one-day return trip from Melbourne to Devonport or Geelong to Devonport.

We offer a range of cabin types to suit your needs and budget, from standard cabins to luxury suites. All cabins are air-conditioned and have a private ensuite bathroom.

We also have a car deck where you can bring your own vehicle, making it easy to explore Tasmania at your own pace.

My Spirit of Tasmania is the perfect way to travel to Tasmania. We offer a convenient, comfortable, and affordable way to experience the beauty of this unique island state.

My Spirit of Tasmania operates two modern vessels, the Spirit of Tasmania I and Spirit of Tasmania II. These vessels are some of the largest and most advanced ferries in the world.

The Spirit of Tasmania I was built in 1998 and underwent a major refurbishment in 2018. It has a capacity of 1,334 passengers and 560 vehicles.

The Spirit of Tasmania II was built in 2002 and underwent a major refurbishment in 2019. It has a capacity of 1,440 passengers and 600 vehicles.

Both vessels are equipped with a range of amenities, including:

  • Restaurants and bars
  • Shops
  • A car deck
  • A children's play area
  • A cinema
  • A gym
  • A pool
  • A spa

My Spirit of Tasmania operates two routes:

  • Melbourne to Devonport: This is our most popular route, and it takes approximately 11 hours.
  • Geelong to Devonport: This route takes approximately 9 hours.

We offer a variety of departure times and days of the week, so you can find a sailing that suits your schedule.
